Recently BOL&SNAH toured Italy (24.-27.nov) and visited Bergamo, San Salvo and Napels (Napoli). The tour was a great success with a lot of people on the concerts and the vinyl records were sold out. We tried out some new tunes and they worked perfectly in the set. Italy is real fun!
Pappenheim consisting of Oscar Grönberg on piano and Tor Haugerud on drums are now releasing their debut album Bekkenjordet on the label Particular Recordings Collective. They celebrate the release with a tour in october which bring them to Östersund, Stockholm and Oslo as well as a double bill label concert in Trondheim. Later on in 2017 they will also play in Copenhagen and other places. Pappenheim plays free improvised music inspired by both the 60´s free jazz and the modernism in music.
“En sang fra oss…” is a dance project with two dance groups from DansIt: “Danselaboratoriet” with handicapped people and “Danseteatret 55+” contents of elderly people. The project has engaged the famous choreographer Mia Habib and the music is made and played by Siri Gære – vocals and strings, and Tor Haugerud – drums and percussion. The dance project is about meetings between people that are aged or handicapped in one way or another, and the situation they face in these encounters. BOL&SNAH released their new album So? Now? on the label Gigafon in november 2015. This is the second album which Hans Magnus “Snah” Ryan participate on. We are very happy to have his guitar and lovely voice in the band. In fact, he is a full member of the band now. The music on the new album is more specific rock, but with influences from more experimental expressions. We had a very nice release tour, which included cities like Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Melhus and Tromsø, and the reviews for the album have been excellent!
