A new trio playing modern experimental jazz coming up. Consisting of: Nils-Olav Johansen – guitar, Bjørn Marius Hegge – double bass and Tor Haugerud – drums

A play with an actor, a dancer, a yoiker and a musician. About south-sami internat children from the 90´s. Premiere at Olavsfestdagene in Trondheim with further touring in Norway. Verken fugl eller fisk, a new play for toddlers has its premiere at Olavsfestdagene in Trondheim. It is about strange creatures which is nor fish nor fowl, and relates to the affects in humans. Personnel: Rohey Taalah and Siri Gjaere – vocals, Tor Haugerud – drums, Gunnhild Hjertaas and Siri Schnell Juvik – actors, Lise Hovik – director.

EnEnEn recently released their new album Grønn & Gul on the label Particular Recordings Collective. Yet, it is so far a digital album release, but the vinyl will be released at Olavsfestdagene in Trondheim in august. The trio will play several concerts this spring and autumn around Norway and visit Trondheim, Oslo and Inderøy among other places.

Trio Åpen play mostly a combination of modern classical music and free-improvised music, which contain composers like Arne Nordheim, Øistein Sommerfeldt and Sparre Olsen. The trio consists of Catharina Chen – violin, Frida Wærvågen – violincello and Tor Haugerud – percussion. We play both solos, duos and trios and the concert is for children from 1. 7. level at the primery school.

Recently BOL&SNAH toured Italy (24.-27.nov) and visited Bergamo, San Salvo and Napels (Napoli). The tour was a great success with a lot of people on the concerts and the vinyl records were sold out. We tried out some new tunes and they worked perfectly in the set. Italy is real fun!

Pappenheim consisting of Oscar Grönberg on piano and Tor Haugerud on drums are now releasing their debut album Bekkenjordet on the label Particular Recordings Collective. They celebrate the release with a tour in october which bring them to Östersund, Stockholm and Oslo as well as a double bill label concert in Trondheim. Later on in 2017 they will also play in Copenhagen and other places. Pappenheim plays free improvised music inspired by both the 60´s free jazz  and the modernism in music.

“En sang fra oss…” is a dance project with two dance groups from DansIt: “Danselaboratoriet” with handicapped people and “Danseteatret 55+” contents of elderly people. The project has engaged the famous choreographer Mia Habib and the music is made and played by Siri Gære – vocals and strings, and Tor Haugerud – drums and percussion. The dance project is about meetings between people that are aged or handicapped in one way or another, and the situation they face in these encounters. There will be performances from 12th until 17th of april. See concert list.

BOL&SNAH released their new album So? Now? on the label Gigafon in november 2015. This is the second album which Hans Magnus “Snah” Ryan participate on. We are very happy to have his guitar and lovely voice in the band. In fact, he is a full member of the band now. The music on the new album is more specific rock, but with influences from more experimental expressions. We had a very nice release tour, which included cities like Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Melhus and Tromsø, and the reviews for the album have been excellent!
