In this particular dance performance, choreographer Mia Habib explores the physical powers that are being set in motion when several individual bodies come together to form one strong mass.A crowd invades the stage, running and walking. Crawling, carrying each other, climbing the wall. In A song to … Mia Habib wonders: How does the monumental arise in a single figure, and how can vulnerable bodies contain massive existential questions? In a time of large protests around the world, Habib and 48 dancers, examine the physical powers set in motion through the big protest movements. The performance is also inspired by the art works of Gustav and Emanuel Vigeland, in which bodies range from all ages and appearances.
